Roots & Recipes is a project led by Leeds Involving People, bringing together refugees and asylum seekers in Leeds to share traditional recipes and the stories behind them.
This is an informal space where people can come and go during the session. There is no food provided or cooked at the sessions, instead, the focus is on conversation, storytelling and sharing recipes that are meaningful to you.
By taking part, you can:
You don’t need to bring anything with you apart from your recipe (written, remembered, or just talked through). Support will be available to help people write down or submit their recipe if needed.
You’re welcome to drop in at any point during the session times, or you can submit your recipe online if you’re unable to attend in person.
Funded by the Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust.
